PETALING JAYA: Nearly 1.3 million taxpayers used the e-Filing system this year, an increase of 400,000 compared to last year.
“The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia took measures to accommodate the increase of e-Filing users by upgrading the Internet lines to 69Mbps from 61Mbps previously,” it said in a statement yesterday.
The lines’ capacity was pushed to the maximum on April 28 due to the “keep it to the last-minute” attitude of taxpayers, it added.
